Why we exist
Despite growing demand for technical expertise, women remain significantly underrepresented across many STEM disciplines. At the same time, organisations face increasing challenges securing the skilled talent required to support innovation and technological advancement.

2015 - The beginning
Hire STEM Women was founded with the goal of improving access to opportunities for women pursuing careers across science, technology, engineering and mathematics. What began as an organic initiative quickly gained traction as more professionals and organisations recognised the need for stronger representation in technical fields.

2018 – Expanding the network
As interest grew, Hire STEM Women began supporting a wider range of organisations looking to strengthen access to diverse technical talent. The initiative evolved beyond simple connections, focusing on building meaningful pathways into STEM careers.

Recognising the growing demand for technical expertise across industries such as finance, technology and engineering, Hire STEM Women expanded its focus to include training and skills development designed to support candidates entering highly competitive technical roles.
